This report summarizes the activities of the Law Reform Commission of British Columbia, Canada from April 1, 1993 to March 31, 1994.
Abstract
Three projects were the major focus of the commission's efforts. They resulted in documents that were distributed for public comment. A paper on recreational injuries focused on liability and waivers in commercial leisure activities. Another paper focused on conflicts of interest for directors and organizations. A third paper focused on land-related interests and the Personal Property Security Act. The commission also submitted two final reports. One discussed standardized assumptions for calculating income tax gross-up and management fees in assessing damages. The other focused on taxation and the assessment of income-related damage awards. The commission relocated its offices to other space in the same building. Appended lists of reports, commission members, and related information
