THE BIBLIOGRAPHY WAS PARTIALLY COMPILED FROM PRIMARY SOURCES, THAT IS, FROM THE DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE AT THE NATIONAL LEGAL AID RESEARCH CENTRE, AND PARTIALLY FROM SECONDARY SOURCES, THAT IS, FROM BIBLIOGRAPHIES USED IN THE LEGAL FIELD IN CANADA. CITATIONS ARE ARRANGED ALPHABETICALLY BY AUTHOR WITHIN PROVINCE CLASSIFICATIONS AND UNDER THE 'GENERAL' SECTION. THE BIBLIOGRAPHY DOES NOT INCLUDE STATUTES AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING LEGAL AID AND ANNUAL REPORTS OF THE VARIOUS PROVINCIAL LEGAL AID ORGANIZATIONS. LEGAL AID CASE LAW HAS ALSO BEEN EXCLUDED. PUBLICATION DATES SPAN THE YEARS 1952 TO 1977.
