THE PUBLIC DEFENDERS BROUGHT SEVERAL CLASS ACTION HABEAS CORPUS SUITS TO COMPEL POLICE TO CONFORM THEIR CONDUCT TO LEGALLY ACCEPTABLE LIMITS IN ADDITION TO REPRESENTING INDIVIDUALS DURING MAY WEEK AND SUBSEQUENT TRIALS.
