Abstract
FOLLOWING THE INTRODUCTORY SHOW, THESE PROGRAMS ARE CONCERNED WITH PRE-TRIAL PROSECUTION SCREENINGS, BAIL, THE PRETRIAL 'PREVENTIVE' DETENTION LAW, PLEA BARGAINING, COURT DELAYS, SENTENCING, THE JUDGES' CRITICISMS OF THE SYSTEM, AND THE EFFECT THAT REORGANIZATION HAS HAD ON THE FUNCTIONING OF THE D.C. SUPERIOR COURT. THE PROGRAMS ARE ORGANIZED BY AN INTERVIEW FORMAT, WITH THE MODERATOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE INTERVIEWS WITH JUDGES, CRIME VICTIMS, CORRECTIONS OFFICIALS, AND OTHERS.
