PURPOSE, MECHANICS, AND AGENDA OF A THREE-DAY LABORATORY ON INTERACTION BETWEEN THE ELEMENTS OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
Abstract
TWO MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP WERE TO DEVELOP AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMPONENT GROUPS, AND TO GAIN AN APPRECIATION OF EACH GROUP'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE FUNCTIONING OF THE TOTAL SYSTEM. THE PROGRAM EMPHASIZED COMMUNICATION, MUTUAL RESPECT AND TRUST, AND AN ELIMINATION OF THE MYSTIQUE THAT OFTEN SURROUNDS THE DIFFERENT ELEMENTS OF THE SYSTEM. THE RESULTS OF AN EVALUATION OF THE PROGRAM BY THE PARTICIPANTS IS INCLUDED AS AN APPENDIX.
