LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN OKLAHOMA WERE SURVEYED TO DEVELOP A PLAN FOR IMPROVEMENT OF SERVICES AND EVALUATION OF EXISTING POLICING AGENCIES.
Abstract
THE SURVEY WAS BASED ON QUESTIONNAIRES SENT TO ALL CITY POLICE AGENCIES PROVIDING SERVICES TO POPULATIONS OVER 2500 PLUS ALL SHERIFFS DEPARTMENTS OF THE STATE. THE RESPONDENTS SUPPLIED INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THEIR VARIOUS AGENCIES ON SUBJECTS CONCERNING RECORDS, FACILITIES, COMMUNICATIONS, HIRING PROCEDURES, PERSONNEL, TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT.
