A BRIEF HISTORY OF LOUISIANA'S PENAL SYSTEM, ORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, SURVEY OF PROBATION AND PAROLE INCLUDING DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION. PILOT SCHOOLS ESTABLISHED FOR CORRECTIONS, CUSTODIAL PERSONNEL, AND PROBATION AND PAROLE OFFICERS ARE DISCUSSED IN RELATIONSHIP TO NEEDS FOR TRAINING.
