This document is the 2010 Annual Report for the Juvenile Probation Department in Harris County, TX.
Abstract
This document presents an overview of the work of the Department. This annual report includes information on the following: the Mission Statement and Core Values of the department; listings of members of the Harris County Commissioners Court, the Juvenile Board Advisory Council, the Harris County Juvenile Board, and Associate Judges; and a 5-year overview of the Harris County Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative. Statistical information is also provided for the department that includes: 2010 expenditures; 2010 referral data broken down by gender, age, offense severity, and school district; offense data by referral for 2007-2010; offense data for 2010 per admission to detention; admissions to detention data for 2010 by month and age, month and gender, and month and ethnicity; and monthly averages for the period 2007-2010 for youth under supervision. Brief overviews of the work of the divisions in the department are also included: the Intake Court Services Division, the Health Services Division, the Institutions Division, the Field Services Division, the Budget and Information Technology Division, the Human Resources Division, and the Education Services Division.
