Pursuant to legislation mandating that correctional officers in Georgia be trained and certified, a task analysis was devised and executed to assess training needs.
Abstract
The purpose of the Task Analysis was to produce usable data to assist in the development of basic training curricula for correctional officers in the State. Data were produced for four categories of institutions: State corrections, county correctional institutions, city/county jails, and youth development centers. The task analysis provided solid, apparently valid data which were used in the subsequent development of three training curricula packages. (Author abstract)
