This audiovisual presentation is designed to inform teenagers about the mental and emotional risks they incur when they use marijuana.
          Abstract
It presents recent scientific research on the short-term and possible long-term effects of marijuana usage, including effects on memory, learning ability, verbal fluency, and physical responses. The film emphasizes that although research is incomplete, what is known justifies serious concern about marijuana's effect on health. It also recreates the experiences of two high school students, focusing on the problems associated with heavy pot smoking. It encourages adolescent pot smokers to resist using marijuana as a means of coping with their anxieties and suggests more constructive ways of dealing with personal problems.
