Abstract
AMONG THE KEY RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT ARE SUGGESTIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF MINORITY GROUP MEMBERS AND EX-INMATES AS CORRECTIONAL EMPLOYEES, INCREASED EMPHASIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY TREATMENT AND COMMUNITY-BASED CORRECTIONS, REVISION OF SOME ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES, IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMS TO INCREASE INMATES' INVOLVEMENT WITH THEIR FAMILIES, AND REMODELING OF OLD FACILITIES AND CONSTRUCTING A NEW FACILITY FOR FEMALE OFFENDERS.
