Abstract
THIS PAPER WAS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE FOURTH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON COMPARATIVE CRIMINOLOGY, HELD IN MONTREAL, CANADA IN 1974. THE MANAGEMENT AND EVALUATION CONCEPTS PRESENTED CONCERN ADMINISTRATIVE OBJECTIVES COMMON TO POLICE AGENCIES IN EVERY COUNTRY. EVALUATIVE METHODS MEASURING SYSTEM INPUT INCLUDE JUDICIAL, ADMINISTRATIVE, PSYCHOLOGICAL, AND ENCONOMIC MODELS. METHODS MEASURING SYSTEM OUTPUT INCLUDE PUBLIC OPINION, TRAFFIC CONTROL, PATROL FUNCTION, AND CRIME CONTROL MODES. REFERENCES ARE MADE TO POLICE DEPARTMENTS IN CANADA AND IN THE UNITED STATES WHICH HAVE MADE USE OF THESE MODELS. --IN FRENCH
