COMPARATIVE DATA FOR THE UNITED STATES AND THE UNITED KINGDOM ARE INCLUDED. SECTIONS FROM THE CRIMINAL CODE DESCRIBING CULPABLE HOMICIDE AND DISTINGUISHING CAPITAL FROM NON-CAPITAL MURDER ARE APPENDED.
