Abstract
The lead article examines innovations tried in several jurisdictions to encourage formation of joint police-prosecutor teams. The State of Maine created an entirely new agency responsible for “the investigation and coordination of investigative and prosecutorial functions in the State with respect to drug law enforcement.” The article details the Maine program and those of three municipal and county jurisdictions. Other articles look at shock incarceration programs in State correctional jurisdictions and the child victim as witness.
