PROPOSAL FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INDEPENDANT NON-PROFIT, FEDERALLY CHARTERED CORPORATION DESIGNED TO COORDINATE AND SUPPORT THE MACHINERY OF JUSTICE AT ALL LEVELS.
Abstract
THE INSTITUTE HAS THREE PURPOSES. FIRST, TO PROVIDE DIRECTION AND LEADERSHIP THAT WOULD BE RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE. IT WOULD SERVE AS CONSULTANT AND ADVISOR TO ALL COMPONENTS OF THE MACHINERY OF JUSTICE AT BOTH STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS. SECOND, THE INSTITUTE WOULD PROVIDE A PERMANENT BODY CHARGED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN OVERVIEW OF THE LAW, WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PRIORITIES, WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COORDINATION OF EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS OF THE ORGANIZED BAR. THIRD, THE INSTITUTE WOULD SERVE AS A FISCAL AGENT TO RECEIVE AND DISBURSE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE FUNDS FOR RESEARCH, EVALUATION AND ACTION. AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED
