PROGRESS REPORT ON THE ORGANIZATION AND OBJECTIVES OF CALIFORNIA'S CENTER FOR JUDICIAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (CJER).
Abstract
THIS PROJECT WAS ESTABLISHED ON JULY 1, 1973 TO PROVIDE IMPETUS TO, AND A VEHICLE FOR, THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE JUDICIAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH PROGRAM FOR CALIFORNIA JUDGES. SOME OF CJER'S PRINCIPAL PROJECTS INCLUDE PREPARING A MASTER OUTLINE OF TOPICS FOR JUDICIAL EDUCATION, ORGANIZING CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS, ORIENTING AND TRAINING NEW JUDGES, AND THE PUBLICATION OF HIGH-QUALITY REFERENCE WORKS FOR JUDGES.
