Abstract
THE PAPERS PRESENTED IN THIS BOOK ARE DRAWN FROM SUCH DIVERSE FIELDS AS PSYCHOLOGY, EDUCATION, SOCIOLOGY, PSYCHIATRY, CRIMINOLOGY, AND LAW. A NATIONAL PERSPECTIVE ON THE JUVENILE DELINQUENCY PROBLEM IS FIRST PROVIDED. DESCRIPTIONS OF SEVERAL INNOVATIVE TREATMENT APPROACHES ARE THEN PRESENTED. AMONG THESE ARE CONTINGENCY MANAGEMENT OF DELINQUENT BEHAVIOR IN THE COMMUNITY; A COMMUNITY-BASED, FAMILY-STYLE BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION PROGRAM FOR PRE-DELINQUENTS; ALTERNATIVE GROUP HOMES FOR DELINQUENTS; AND AN INSTITUTIONAL BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION PROGRAM.
