Abstract

This report, prepared for the March 1979 meeting of the Advisory Committee to the National Institute of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (NILECJ), contains drafts of FY 1980 program plans for: 1) The Office of Research and Planning, including the Police Division, Community Crime Prevention Division, Center for the Study of the Correlates of Crime and the Determinants of Criminal Behavior, Adjudication Division, and the Corrections Division. 2) The Office of Research and Evaluation Methods. 3) The Office of Program Evaluation. 4) The Office of Development, Testing, and Dissemination. And, 5) Implementing a Civil Justice Research Mandate within a National Institute of Justice. Additionally, a summary of the October 23-24, 1978, meeting of the Advisory Committee of the National Institute of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice is provided.
