AN OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAMS TO REHABILITATE DELINQUENT YOUTH, DESCRIBING IMPROVEMENTS AND EXPANSIONS DURING FISCAL YEARS 1970-71 AND 1971-72.
Abstract
SEPARATE REPORTS ARE PRESENTED IN THE AREAS OF CLINICAL SERVICES, GROUP LIVING, FOOD SERVICE, AGRICULTURE, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE, RELIGIOUS AND MORAL TRAINING, AND SPECIAL PROJECTS. THE GENERAL THRUST OF EFFORTS DURING THIS PERIOD HAS BEEN THE CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT, IN EACH OF THE EIGHT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SCHOOLS, OF SPECIALIZATION IN SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONAL FIELDS WHICH FAVOR PERSONALIZED INSTRUCTION. EMPHASIS HAS BEEN ON THE FORMULATION OF CURRICULUM CONTENT AND INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT. A STAFF DIRECTORY AND BUDGET ARE INCLUDED FOR EACH FACILITY, AS ARE STATISTICAL DATA DESCRIBING THE TREATMENT POPULATION.
