Abstract
The report examines findings from an analysis of custodial juvenile sentences, focusing on age, race, and gender of defendants; daytime occupation at time offense; place of residence; remand or bail decisions; offending trends; pleas; involvement with other delinquents; sentence length; Social Inquiry Report recommendations; criteria used for custody decisions; and appeals against sentence.
