REVIEW OF PROGRAM OPERATIONS OF THIS PROJECT DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SPECIALIZED SERVICES TO CASE MANAGEMENT CORRECTIONS SERVICES CLIENTS WHO ARE REFERRED TO THE CHILDREN'S SERVICES DIVISION FOR OUT-OF-HOME PLACEMENT.
Abstract
MOST OF THE INTENSIVE CARE SPECIALIZED PLACEMENTS ARE OF THREE MAIN TYPES - GROUP HOMES, FOSTER CARE, AND THE DAY CARE CENTER. THE EVALUATION DESIGN, AN INTENSIVE FORM OF PROGRAM MONITORING AND A DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT OPERATION, AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION ARE DESCRIBED AND DISCUSSED. PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION IS COMPARED TO THE THREE MAJOR PROPOSED PROCESS OBJECTIVES. THE OBJECTIVES LISTED FOR THIS PROJECT INCLUDE INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF REHABILITATIVE SPECIALIZED OUT OF HOME CARE RESOURCES FOR 150 TARGET OFFENDERS; DEVELOPING A SCREENING AND PLACEMENT MODEL WHICH PROVIDES AND IMPROVES THE DELIVERY OF SPECIALIZED SERVICES; AND ASSISTING PROVIDER AGENCIES WORKING WITH PROJECT CLIENTS TO IMPROVE THEIR ABILITIES TO PROVIDE REHABILITATIVE AND SPECIALIZED SERVICES. ACTIVITIES WHICH HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT UNDER EACH PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND/OR SUB-OBJECTIVE ARE LISTED AND DESCRIBED. EVALUATORS CONCLUDED THAT THIS PROGRAM OFFERS A GREAT POTENTIAL FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF ALTERNATIVE (OUT HOME) CARE. THE APPENDIX CONTAINS A LIST OF THE OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCTIVITY INDICATORS OF THE PROJECT, AN EXPLANATION OF THE PROJECT DISPOSITIONAL PHASE, AND PROJECT INTAKE AND REFERRAL PROCEDURES.
