THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED IN FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA, PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MARYLAND, AND WASHINGTON, D.C. THIS BOOKLET OF APPENDED MATERIAL TO THE STUDY CONTAINS LEGAL DEFINITIONS OF BURGLARY AND THE OFFENSE REPORT FORMS AND CODING MANUALS USED BY THE THREE JURISDICTIONS STUDIED. RAW DATA SUCH AS BURGLARY FREQUENCY INDICATORS, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INDICATORS, AND RESPONSES OF VICTIMIZATION SURVEY INTERVIEWEES ARE INCLUDED, ALONG WITH A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THIS DATA.
