A CASE STUDY OF A SUCCESSFUL INVESTIGATION OF AN ILLICIT MEXICAN AMPHETAMINE AND BARBITUATE MANUFACTURING AND SMUGGLING OPERATION.
Abstract
MEXICAN POLICE, IN COOPERATION WITH U.S. AGENTS, SEIZED OVER 100,000 CAPSULES EACH OF AMPHETAMINES AND BARBITUATES. THE ALLEGED LEADER OF THE OPERATION DISCLOSED THE LOCATION OF THE LABORATORY WHERE THESE DRUGS WERE MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO HIS FLIGHT FROM JUSTICE. THIS INVESTIGATION CAUSED THE DISAPPEARANCE FROM THE U.S. MARKET OF THE DISTINCTIVE 'BURN SPOT' SEALED CAPSULES.
