OUTLINE FOR DRUG ABUSE REHABILITATION PROGRAMS IN NORTH CAROLINA.
Abstract
A THEORY FOR PREDICTING THE NUMBER OF DRUG ABUSERS ENTERING THE CORRECTIONAL SYSTEM IS OFFERED. DRUG ABUSE TREATMENT METHODS AND LITERATURE ARE REVIEWED EXTENSIVELY. THE PROCESS OF SELECTING ALTERNATIVE METHODS IS TRACED FOR PROGRAM PLANNERS. A SURVEY OF COMMUNITY AND AREA PROGRAMS FOR DRUG OFFENDERS IS INCLUDED. THE AUTHORS RECOMMEND A STATE-WIDE PLANNING AND MONITORING SYSTEM SUITED TO THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS.
