Abstract
THE OFFICER ASSAULTED WAS MOST LIKELY TO BE MALE, WITH LESS THAN 5 YEARS ON THE FORCE, WHITE, OPERATING FROM A PATROL CAR, AND ACCOMPANIED BY ANOTHER OFFICER. THE ASSAILANT WAS GENERALLY MALE, ALONE, WHITE, KNOWN TO THE ASSAULTED OFFICER, AND UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.
