SIX MONTH FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM IN WHICH PHOENIX POLICE ARE ASSIGNED TO SCHOOLS FOR ONE SEMESTER TO PROVIDE GUIDANCE ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE-RELATED TOPICS.
Abstract
IN ADDITION TO PRESENTING CLASSROOM LECTURES ON SUCH TOPICS AS TRAFFIC LAW, OR THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, THE RESOURCE OFFICERS ASSIST WITH COUNSELING STUDENTS ON ISSUES THAT WOULD LOGICALLY BE BROUGHT TO THE POLICE. FEEDBACK HAS INDICATED ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF THE PROGRAM.
