THIS BIBLIOGRAPHY PRESENTS PUBLICATIONS ON THE SUBJECT OF POLICE STRESS AND ITS ENSUING PROBLEMS.
Abstract
A TOTAL OF 264 CITATIONS ARE INCLUDED, IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER BY AUTHOR. THE CITATIONS ARE NOT ANNOTATED, BUT THEY ARE CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO SEVERAL CATEGORIES: ARTICLES AND REPORTS; BOOKS; PAPERS; DISSERTATIONS AND THESES; AND FILMS, CASSETTES, AND AUDIO VISUALS. A NUMBER OF ITEMS ARE LISTED ON GENERAL AREAS OF STRESS FOR THE POLICE OFFICER'S GUIDANCE. SEVERAL IMPORTANT STUDIES CITED SUGGEST THAT POLICE STRESS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND REQUIRES FURTHER RESEARCH, DOCUMENTATION, AND STUDIES. THE MAJORITY OF THE PUBLICATIONS ARE FROM THE 1970'S, BUT A FEW DATE BACK TO THE 1950'S AND 1960'S. (PRG)
