Abstract
A STANDARD FOR RESTRICTED USE OF FIREARMS IS ENCOURAGED. THE NECESSARY DEFENSE FROM DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY OF AN INNOCENT PARTY, IN OFFICER'S DEFENSE OF HIMSELF, APPREHENSION OF DANGEROUS FELONS, AN ALARM IN EXTREME EMERGENCIES, THE KILLING OF A DANGEROUS ANIMAL, AND FOR TARGET PRACTICE ON AN APPROVED RANGE ARE THE SUGGESTED CIRCUMSTANCES FOR USING FIREARMS. SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE POLICY ARE ALSO OFFERRED.
