Abstract
THE BIBLIOGRAPHY IS ARRANGED IN FIVE SECTIONS AND INCLUDES MATERIAL FROM 1965 THROUGH 1973. SECTION I CONTAINS MATERIALS PARTICULARLY APPLICABLE TO POLICE, NAMELY, FRATERNAL ASSOCIATIONS, UNIONS, COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, THE BARGAINING UNIT, FACT FINDING, ARBITRATION, MEDIATION, STRIKES AND OTHER WORK STOPPAGES, CONTRACT PROVISIONS, GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES, FORMAL EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT AGREEMENTS, AND LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONS IN GENERAL. MATERIALS TREATING PUBLIC EMPLOYEE - MANAGEMENT RELATIONS WHICH WERE CONSIDERED TO BE SIGNIFICANT TO THE POLICE LABOR MOVEMENT HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN SECTION II. STATISTICS ON UNION REPRESENTATION, STRENGTH OF MEMBERSHIP, FRINGE BENEFITS AND OTHER WORKING CONDITIONS, CASE LAW AND LEGISLATION ARE IDENTIFIED AS REFERENCE SOURCES IN SECTION III. SECTION IV LISTS OTHER BIBILIOGRAPHIES COVERING POLICE LABOR-MANAGEMENT LITERATURE PUBLISHED SINCE 1965. THE LAST NUMBERED SECTION LISTS LABOR ORIENTED PERIODICALS PUBLISHED BY POLICE UNIONS FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP.
