DISCUSSION OF BASIC AREAS THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN A SECURITY FORCE'S POLICY MANUAL OF RULES AND REGULATIONS.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR STATES THAT ALL SECURITY FORCES SHOULD HAVE A GUIDEBOOK WHICH SETS FORTH POLICY AS WELL AS SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS. HE RECOMMENDS THAT THIS GUIDEBOOK CONTAIN INTRODUCTORY STATEMENTS SETTING THE TONE FOR STATEMENTS GIVEN, AN OATH OF OFFICE, A FORWARD SIGNED BY THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY IN THE ORGANIZATION TO SET THE MORAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL TONE OF THE MANUAL, A STATEMENT OF PURPOSE, AND A STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES. SUGGESTIONS ARE THEN MADE ON THE BREAKDOWN OF THE MANUAL INTO CHAPTERS CONVERING SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS, ORGANIZATION, AND ADMINISTRATION.
