Abstract
Policies have been deployed under the sign of proximity over the past 10 years. In police practices, prevention schemes, and judicial initiatives, there is a desire to act on the local level faster and earlier. This desire to be close to the people translates into community policing, partners in prevention, criminal mediation, and immediate court appearances. The addition of close control over specific at-risk populations is now more evident than in the past. 23 notes, 58 references
