Abstract
The administering agency for the MN PMP is the state Pharmacy Board. The MN PMP's email nd home website addresses are provided, along with website addresses for enrollment in MN PMP and for MN PMP statistics. Contact information is provided for both the MN PMP Manager and Administrator. Statistics for 2017 cover the state's population (5,628,162), DEA registered prescribers (31,286), and DEA registered dispensers (1,160). Available MN PMP reports are listed, and the only source of funding for the MN PMP in 2018 is indicated to be licensing fees. Staffing numbers for 2018 are presented by the following task categories: operational (2.25), technical (0.5), analytical (1.25), and "other" (0). Key dates for the MN PMP are for authorizing legislation (July 2007), becoming operational (January 2010), initial user access (April 2010), and electronic reporting (January 2010). Sources for statutes and rules relevant to MN PMP are listed. Data reporting frequency is 1 day, and zero reporting is required. Drugs monitored are controlled substances under schedules II, III, IV, and V. The MN PMP has the authority to monitor other substances, including marijuana data. MN PMP's miscellaneous capabilities and policies are listed. Enrollment in PMP is required for drug prescribers and dispensers; and upon admission to a methadone clinic outpatient treatment program, clients must be notified that the Department of Human Services and the medical director will consult the prescription monitoring program to review the prescribed controlled drugs the clients have received. Law enforcement requirements for drug investigations are noted. Other issues addressed are criteria to query PMP, data retention, PMP requester training available, technological capabilities, and requesters and reports authorized and available.
