The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Training and Technical Assistance Center (PDMP TTAC) reports 2020 data and 2021 features of the Mississippi state Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).

 

Abstract

The acronym for the Mississippi PDMP is MS PMP. It is administered by the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy. The email address is provided, along with URLs for the main website and related websites for enrollment, query, and data upload. Contact information is provided for the PMP Director and the Compliance Officer. In 2020, the state population was 2,963,914, and there were 14,456 DEA-registered prescribers and 757 DEA-registered dispensers. A total of 19 types of available PDMP reports are listed. Funding for the PDMP is from the Regulatory Board Fund. There are four PDMP employees, with one employee performing each of the tasks related to operations, technology, analytical/epidemiological, and “other.” Key dates in the establishment and development of the PDMP are reported, and access information is provided for statutes and rules for mandates and procedures. Data-collection frequency is 24 hours or next business day, and zero reporting is required. Eleven miscellaneous capabilities and policies are listed. No PDMP user training is reported.
