Abstract
THE AUTHOR EMPHASIZES THE PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT THAT IMPRISONMENT HAS ON JUVENILES AND THE HARM THAT IT CAN CAUSE. THE ARTICLE REVIEWS, IN A BRIEF SURVEY, THE LEGISLATION CONCERNING THE AGE OF CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE THREE COUNTRIES. THE VARIOUS METHODS THAT ARE APPLIED TO CURB THE DAMAGING EFFECTS OF PRETRIAL CUSTODY AS WELL AS THE METHODS THAT ARE USED TO MAKE A PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. --IN GERMAN....MSP
