Abstract
Offenses categories, including courts martial and terrorism, demographic data, and a separate examination of persons committed to borstal under the Children and Young Persons Act of 1969 are included. Statistics cover remand prisoners, sentenced young offenders, adult male prisoners under sentence, adult female prisoners under sentence, noncriminal prisoners, fine defaulters, reconvictions, and numbers of offenses and punishments. Data are presented in both narrative and tabular form.
