SUMMARY OF THE DEVELOPMENT, CHARACTERISTICS AND OPERATIONS OF HONOLULU'S ON-LINE CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WHOSE PRIMARY GOAL IS TO SUPPORT THE CLERICAL ACTIVITIES OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY.
Abstract
IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, PROCES HAS PROVEN TO BE BOTH SUCCESSFUL AND ECONOMICAL. IN ADDITION TO STREAMLINING CLERICAL ACTIVITIES, IT FUNCTIONS AS A CASE REPORTING SYSTEM WHICH CAN BE UTILIZED BY MANAGEMENT AND THE DEPUTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY STAFF. THE SYSTEM DOES NOT RELY ON DATA INPUT FROM OTHER AGENCIES EXCEPT THOSE OBLIGED TO SUPPORT PROSECUTING OPERATIONS, AND INCLUDES ALL ELEMENTS REQUIRED IN AN OFFENDER BASED TRACKING SYSTEM, THUS ALLOWING EASY COORDINATION WITH A CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEM CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED BY THE STATE JUDICIARY.
