Abstract
TO TEST THE FEASIBILITY OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER SEVERAL PROGRAMS WERE CARRIED OUT IN HARTFORD, NEW HAVEN, AND STAMFORD. THESE INCLUDED A VEHICLE LOCATOR SYSTEM, A TRAINING PROGRAM, JOINT RECORDS REVISION, A DEPLOYMENT PLAN, AND PROPERTY INVENTORY CONTROL. THE RECOMMENDATIONS OUTLINE AN APPROACH WHICH SHOULD BE TAKEN BY FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO FACILITATE THE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROCESS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
