MAINE'S PROJECT EXIT (EX-OFFENDERS IN TRANSITION) IS A PRERELEASE PROGRAM OFFERING INMATES COUNSELING AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP IN THEIR REORIENTATION TO SOCIETY.
Abstract
DURING THIS DEVELOPMENTAL PHASE IT WAS FOUND POSSIBLE TO PRODUCE AND OBSERVE A CHANGE IN A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF CLIENTS IN A YEAR'S TIME. IT WAS POSSIBLE TO PREDICT WHAT KINDS OF PEOPLE MIGHT BE MOST RECEPTIVE TO TREATMENT BASED ON JOBS. A DATA SYSTEM COULD BE DESIGNED FOR SUPERVISION AND ANALYSIS OF RESULTS.
