EXPERIMENTAL COURSE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA COLLEGE OF LAW WAS DESIGNED TO INSTRUCT STUDENTS IN COUNSELING AND INTERVIEWING PEOPLE WITH EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS.
Abstract
AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH WAS USED, INCLUDING FIELD WORK WITH SOCIAL WORKERS AND PSYCHIATRIC RESIDENTS. ALCOHOLISM, MENTAL ILLNESS, AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS WERE STRESSED. STUDENT CRITIQUES OF THE CURRICULUM ARE DISCUSSED.
