IT WAS FIRST DESCRIBED BY BARSEGYANTS THAT THE TESTOSTERON PRESENT IN HUMAN SEMINAL PLASMA INHIBITS AN AGGLUTININ OCCURRING IN THE EXTRACT OF SOLANUM TUBEROSUM TUBERS.
Abstract
IN THIS EXPERIMENT, A POTATO JUICE PREPARED FROM THE TUBERS OF SOLANUM TUBEROSUM WAS FRACTIONATED BY AMMONIUM SULFATE PRECIPITATION AND GEL FILTRATION IN ORDER TO ELUCIDATE THE LOCALIZATION AND NATURE OF THE POTATO AGGLUTININ. IT WAS ALSO INVESTIGATED WHETHER OR NOT THE BARSEGYANTS' METHOD WHICH IS BASED ON THE FACT THAT THE POTATO AGGLUTININ IS STRONGLY INHIBITED BY HUMAN SEMEN IS USEFUL FOR THE DEMONSTRATION OF SEMINAL STAINS USING THE STAINS OF VAGINAL SECRETION, URINE, SALIVA, NASAL SECRETION AND BLOOD AS CONTROLS. --IN JAPANESE, SUMMARY IN ENGLISH
