THIS PLAN IDENTIFIES EXISTING CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM ACTIVITIES, AREA PROBLEMS, AREA GOALS AND PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS.
Abstract
AFTER IDENTIFYING THE BROAD RANGE OF RESOURCES WHICH WILL BE NEEDED TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM, THE REPORT CONCLUDES THAT SUCCESS OF THE PROGRAM IS DEPENDENT UPON THE COMBINED EFFORTS OF CITIZENS GROUPS AND COMMUNITY SERVICE AGENCIES WHICH SHOULD WORK THROUGH, OR UNDER CONTRACT WITH, A DULY CONSTITUTED CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCY IN THE CITY. APPENDICIES INCLUDE SUGGESTED GUIDELINES FOR OPERATION OF THE IMPACT PROGRAM IN ST. LOUIS AND A SERIES OF 10 MAPS WHICH GRAPHICALLY PRESENT INFORMATION ON THE INCIDENCE OF SPECIFIC CRIMES ACCORDING TO PARTICULAR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS. SEE ALSO NCJ-36995 AND 36996.
