INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING A FORTRAN IV PROGRAM WHICH PRINTS ONE-YEAR CALENDARS INDICATING FOR EACH DAY OF THE YEAR THE WATCH ASSIGNMENT OR OFF-DUTY STATUS FOR EACH PERSON WORKING A SPECIFIED PROPORTIONAL ROTATING SCHEDULE.
Abstract
THIS SCHEDULE IS CONSTRUCTED FROM THE FOLLOWING 14-DAY BASIC PATTERN: FIVE DAYS ON THE NIGHT WATCH FOLLOWED BY THREE RECREATION DAYS, FOUR DAYS ON THE NIGHT WATCH, AND TWO RECREATION DAYS. A SEPARATE CALENDAR IS PRINTED FOR EACH MAN NUMBER OR GROUP NUMBER, WITH THE APPROPRIATE NUMBER OF WEEKS OF LAG OR LEAD IN THE BASIC PATTERN AUTOMATICALLY INSERTED BY THE PROGRAM. INDIVIDUAL SECTIONS OF THIS MANUAL DESCRIBE THE INPUT DATA REQUIREMENTS, THE FORMATS REQUIRED FOR EACH DATA CARD, THE OUTPUT FORMAT, PROGRAM LIMITATIONS AND CONSTRAINTS, AND AN EXAMPLE BASED ON A TWELVE-WEEK ROTATING SCHEDULE. THE PROGRAM IS WRITTEN FOR USE ON AN IBM 360 OR COMPATIBLE COMPUTER.
