Abstract
THE PRESENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION AND THE AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARDS INSTITUTE ARE FIRST EXAMINED. AMONG THE AREAS COVERED IN THESE STANDARDS ARE THE USE OF A PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN, SECURITY GUARDS, ALARM SYSTEMS, AND GENERAL SECURITY SYSTEMS. PROJECTED REQUIREMENTS IN THE AREAS OF MATERIALS AND PLANT PROTECTION, PERSONNEL SELECTION, TRAINING, AND ACCESS CONTROL ARE ALSO DISCUSSED.
