Abstract
EVALUATION INDICATES THAT THE DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE OF THE CORRECTIONAL TRAINING PROJECT WAS SUCCESSFUL IN STIMULATING INTEREST IN TRAINING AMONG PERSONNEL--AS INDICATED BY THE ATTENDANCE AT PILOT PROJECTS AND THE INTEREST EXPRESSED BY EMPLOYEES AND OFFICIALS IN ADDITIONAL COURSES, SUCH AS THE ONE IN THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF CORRECTIONAL SUPERVISION. THE PROJECT RESULTED IN THE PREPARATION OF SOME MATERIALS, SUCH AS THE SUPERVISORY MANUAL BORROWED AND ADAPTED FROM THE KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI TRAINING OFFICER AND THE CASE MATERIALS IN CORRECTIONAL SUPERVISION DEVELOPED BY THE PROJECT DIRECTOR.
