Abstract

Wichita State University Center for Combating Human Trafficking and Youth Collaboratory, in partnership with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, developed this toolkit as a resource for professionals, policymakers, volunteers, faith communities, and others involved in serving children victimized in sex trafficking. The toolkit provides information on a variety of topics related to human trafficking, with a focus on mentoring for commercial sexual exploitation victims and with information on best practices, along with implications for practice at the individual, program, and community levels. The toolkit consists of 19 modules with the following topics: The importance of Language in Anti-Trafficking Work; Survivor-Centered and Survivor-Led Practices; Understanding Human Trafficking Legislation; and Spirituality and Mentoring: The Basics.
