Abstract
GEOGRAPHIC COORDINATES ARE APPLIED TO CLOTH SPHERES AS A REFERENCE FRAME FOR COLLECTING AND POSITIONING NITRITES EMANATING FROM A DISCHARGING FIREARM. A PROCEDURE FOR CONSTRUCTING CLOTH SPHERES OF VARYING DIMENSIONS IS DESCRIBED. TWO SUCH SPHERES OF 12 AND 36 INCH DIAMETERS, RESPECTIVELY, WERE USED TO PRESENT DATA IN TEST FIRINGS. THE USE OF THIS TECHNIQUE IN PREPARING A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A DISCHARGING FIREARM IS EXPLAINED. FURTHER EXPERIMENTS AND MATHEMATICAL TREATMENT OF THE DATA ARE PROPOSED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
