PSYCHOLOGICAL REACTIONS OF PRISONERS TO PSYCHOTHERAPY COMPARED TO INDIVIDUAL RESPONSES WITHIN A GROUP OF PROFESSIONALS STUDYING THIS SAME INMATE RESPONSE.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR FOUND ATTITUDES TOWARD LEADERSHIP, COMPARTMENTALIZATION, CHANGE, AND CREATIVE IDEAS WITHIN A STUDY GROUP OF SENIOR PRISON STAFF TO BE VERY MUCH THE SAME AS THOSE OF THE GROUP OF PRISONERS THEY WERE STUDYING. THE PRISONERS SHOWED RECEPTIVENESS TO TREATMENT WHEN ALONE WITH THE PSYCHOTHERAPIST, BUT EXHIBITED A DEMEANOR OF THE HARDENED CRIMINAL WHEN AMONG THEIR PEERS.
