SYMAP (SYNAGRAPHIC COMPUTER MAPPING) CONVERTS STATISTICAL DATA ON A GIVEN CRIME OCCURRING AT FIXED POINTS WITHIN A GIVEN AREA INTO A GRAPHIC PRESENTATION WHICH INDICATES THE FREQUENCY OF OCCURRENCE BY SHADING.
