Abstract
THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF SYSTEMS ANALYSIS ARE OUTLINED AND THEN DISCUSSED IN LIGHT OF THEIR APPLICATION TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. THE ANALYSIS OF A SPECIFIC ACTIVITY, THE APPREHENSION PROCESS, IS CONSIDERED. ALSO COVERED IS THE APPLICATION OF MODELING TECHNIQUES IN STUDYING THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AND SUCH SPECIFIC QUESTIONS AS ARREST PROBABILITY.
