This document presents descriptions and materials for a product called TAG-A-KID, which provides child identification and information together with a method for providing information about a missing child to police agencies, the media, and other organizations and to notify parents when the child is found.
          Abstract
TAG-A-KID aims to provide the method for immediately delivering the tools to law enforcement to enhance the search for a missing child, to identify a missing child promptly, and to notify the parents. TAG-A-KID enrollment packets include an instruction booklet, a confidential emergency response record, 50 custom-printed TAG-A-KID identification tags, a TAG-A-KID inkless fingerprint kit, monitoring for 12 months in the TAG-A-KID National Emergency Response System, and a postage-paid return envelope. When a child in the program is missing, police and the parents notify TAG-A-KID. The organization transmits the child's emergency response record to other regional law enforcement agencies, regional television media, missing children's clearinghouses, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and Child Quest. When a TAG-A-KID child is found by an emergency agency, TAG-A-KID will transmit the emergency response record to them for proper identification and reunification with the family. This product will soon be available in chain stores and retail outlets. Figures and photographs
